Every activity of the Superior Conservatory of Music in Sevilla’s recorder class is conceived to improve and develop the main skills that future professional recorder players will need to possess:
- Great confidence on stage: students are required to publicly perform a total of 8 times a year
- Technical proficiency: we do 3 technique exams per academic course, and technical work is supervised on a weekly basis
- A good knowledge of the main recorder literature: every student will publish a couple of recorder related articles per academic course on this website
Lessons
The Superior Conservatory of Music in Sevilla currently offers the following weekly lessons related to the recorder:
- One individual recorder class (1:30h)
- One recorder-consort lesson (1:30h)
- One repertoire lesson with accompanying harpsichordist (1h)
- One improvisation lesson (1h)
- One chamber music lesson (1:30h)

The Superior Conservatory of Music in Sevilla’s recorder class is lucky to count on a stunning set of professional recorder consort instruments built by legendary maker Bob Marvin, which are used every week in the consort lessons, and we are an open class that is regularly visited by Erasmus students from abroad, as well as by all kind of personalities from the recorder world such as Andreas Böhlen, Daniël Brüggen, David Lasocki, Dan Laurin, Fernando Paz, Nikolaj Ronimus, Martin Wenner, Petr Zejfart & Bob Marvin.
